Hi, I'm Josiah Yu
I’ve been producing art for about 9 years now, mostly just following wherever my curiosity takes me. In 2018, I was honored with the Walt Disney Motif Award for child advocacy: an experience that really launched me into my love for art and reminded me how powerful creativity can be. I also spent three years playing club volleyball. When I’m not creating, you’ll find me travelling or out in nature, recharging and observing.

Portfolio
I mostly work with oil paint & pastel. Oil is slow, intentional, and gives me space to think while i work, while chalk allows me to be loose and textural. I’m drawn to storytelling through emotion, movement, and small, quiet details. A lot of my pieces are rooted in memory or a specific feeling I’m trying to hold onto.
